POVB
The POVB State Executive are elected every two years and consists of five POVB Members holding the positions of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Assistant Secretary and Country Vice Chairperson.
The POVB State Executive act on behalf of all POVB Members & Sub-Branches across NSW through the consultation process with CSNSW Management and liaising with POVB Delegates & Members. Two POVB Management Committee meetings are held each year, where a Delegate from each Sub-Branch attends to raise issues relating to their Sub-Branch and the POVB as a whole. At the conclusion of the POVB Management Committee meeting, Delegates meet with the Commissioner of CSNSW at the Delegates to Management meeting (DTM). All motions that are raised by Sub-Branches and endorsed by the POVB Management Committee are presented to the Commissioner at the DTM.
The POVB is a branch of the PSA and is governed by the PSA rules and structures. The PSA provides professional and dedicated industrial staff to support the POVB State Executive with all industrial matters, negotiating our awards and listing matters in the Industrial Relations Commission. The PSA is headed by the General Secretary & Assistant General Secretary who manage approximately 150 staff who provide services to all PSA Members across NSW.
